Border Security
Border security is a Constitutional Obligation of the federal government. This obligation needs more than just lip service from the people that are elected to House and Senate. Although the border issue may seem simple on the surface, it is a complicated problem that needs a multi-faceted solution.
There are several areas t where we can improve our borders. Of coarse, the wall will be the first line of protection. A physical barrier will force those that are intent on entering illegally to known areas that will be patrolled vigorously as well as having a network of sensors that can be monitored remotely. These sensors would include thermal, infra-red, audio, visual, and seismic. Of coarse, all of this technology will not do any good if there aren't enough Customs and Border Patrol agents to make the apprehensions. Of all of the things that the government spends monies on, the border is one that absolutely needs it.
